What Is a Proof Gallery?
Your proof gallery is a curated collection of images from your session delivered in an easy-to-view online gallery. Think of it as your first look—a chance to see all the beautiful moments we captured and choose your favorites.
These are not your final edited images just yet. Instead, they are lightly culled and presented in a natural, unedited state.
What’s Included (and What’s Not)
Before your gallery is delivered, I carefully go through your session and remove anything that doesn’t meet my standards—so you won’t see:
- Blinking or mid-expression photos
- Duplicate shots
- Out-of-focus images
What remains is a thoughtfully selected set of the best moments from your session, ready for you to review and choose from.
What Happens After You Choose Your Favorites?
Once you’ve selected the images included in your order, that’s when the magic really happens.
Your final images are professionally edited with a clean, polished approach that enhances—rather than changes—your natural look. This includes:
- Exposure, contrast, and color adjustments
- Light skin retouching
- Teeth whitening
- Softening of minor flyaways
- Small fixes like grass stains or a bit of toddler drool
My goal is simple: you should still look like you—just a well-rested, glowing version.
A Note on Retouching
If you’re hoping for additional edits, I’m always happy to take a look! Depending on the request, there may be an additional fee.
That said, I keep my editing style true to life. I don’t offer heavy or excessive retouching that alters a person’s appearance. If something isn’t doable or doesn’t align with my approach, I’ll always be honest with you.
Turnaround Times
I know you’re excited to see your images (and I don’t blame you!).
- Proof galleries are delivered within 5–7 days after your session
- Holiday sessions, like Christmas minis, are often delivered even sooner
- Final edited images are delivered within one week of your order being placed
